Paws and Claws Animal Welfare Society, Inc. is a U.S.-registered nonprofit organization operating in Giza, Egypt. Our board of directors is composed of both American and Egyptian animal welfare advocates, including licensed veterinary professionals.
We established this organization in response to the critical lack of animal protection laws in Egypt, where systemic animal abuse is widespread and government support is nonexistent — there are no equivalents to organizations like the ASPCA or the Humane Society.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abused and neglected animals, with a focus on the most severe cases. We are committed to raising awareness, promoting humane education, and supporting trap-neuter-return (TNR) efforts to help reduce the stray animal population.
All of our work is driven by donations and powered entirely by volunteers. Through compassion, education, and international adoption partnerships, we strive to give every animal a second chance at life.
